Research topics
In-depth study of new methodologies for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of neuropediatric pathologies of developmental age, with particular regard to neuromuscular diseases, neurodegenerative, neuro-metabolic and in general genetic-metabolic pathologies, and epilepsies of pediatric origin genetic and/or of possible neurosurgical interest, to defects of the neural tube and cortical migration and to neurofibromatosis.
We will delve into the molecular and environmental factors of the development of the nervous system and the etiological and pathogenetic aspects of congenital hypotonias, primitive myopathies, spinal muscular atrophies, mitochondrial encephalopathies, leukoencephalopathies, epileptic encephalopathies and metabolic encephalopathies
