PhD Academic Board

The PhD Program in Neuroscience integrates a wide range of academic and clinical disciplines, reflecting its strong transdisciplinary and cross-sectoral approach. The program includes expertise in Neurology, Physiology, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, Child and Adolescent Neuropsychiatry, Medical Genetics, Nursing Sciences and Neuropsychiatric Rehabilitation Techniques, Neurosurgery, Motor and Sports Sciences, Psychiatry, and Pharmacology.

These diverse fields are distributed across the program’s three curricula, each with a specific scientific focus. While each curriculum addresses distinct thematic areas, the composition of the academic board has been carefully structured to ensure both internal coherence and disciplinary alignment, favoring expertise closely related to each curriculum while maintaining a unified academic framework.

In cases where doctoral projects span multiple areas of specialization, the program supports interdisciplinary research by assigning both a primary supervisor and a co-supervisor. This structure fosters cross-curricular collaboration and allows doctoral candidates to benefit from the broad and varied expertise of the academic board.
