  • Psychiatry: Mood disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, schizophrenia, and bipolar disorder.

  • Genetics of neurological diseases

  • Developmental neurology: Epilepsy, cerebral palsy, intellectual disability, autism, extrapyramidal disorders, neuromuscular diseases.

  • Neuroimaging: Conventional MRI studies on neurological and psychiatric diseases

  • Neuropharmacology of dementias

  • Neurophysiology and neurobiology: Cellular and molecular mechanisms of neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity, nanotechnology applied to neuroscience.

  • Adult stem cell biology and applications for neurological diseases

  • Neuro-oncology: Role of tumor stem cells in brain tumor development and pharmacological characterization.
